ACTIVATED CARBON PREPARED FROM COCONUT SHELL POWDER WITH LOW ACTIVATION TIME AS SUPERCAPACITOR ELECTRODES

چکیده

In this study, we prepared activated carbon from coconut shell with a low activating time for (AC). The powder (< 100 µm) allows an effective pyrolysis process and activation (30 min) that reduces the cost of production. AC has characteristics micropore average size 1.9 nm surface area 460.50 m2/g. For supercapacitor electrode, electrodes have capacitance 50, 66, 67.5 F/g when 0.5 M, 1 2 M Na2SO4 electrolyte was being inserted, respectively. addition, equivalent series resistance (ESR) electrode 6.6; 4.3, 4.1 W electrolyte. These results indicate can be alternative source application moderate performance.
